Police Officer Arrested For Bribery & Corruption Allegations

The discipline officer Acting Deputy Commissioner Martin Weekes release this statement moment ago. “A 33 year old Smiths Parish resident who is a serving police constable, was arrested today by officers of the Organised, Economic Crime Department on suspicion of offences under the Bribery Act 2016. An investigation has commenced and further enquiries will follow.

The Bermuda Police Service wishes to make it clear that it takes any allegation of bribery and corruption among its officers and staff extremely seriously and that all allegations will be thoroughly investigated and dealt with according to law.”
