Two Men Received Lengthy Sentences For Firearms Offences


This week two persons received lengthy sentences for firearms offences.

Gavaska Lodge- Bascome:

11 years imprisonment

·         HANDLING OF A FIREARM

It is believed that this sentence is a result of a incident that occurred on the grounds of Grace Methodist Church earlier this year. Bascome and his then girlfriend was involved in an altercation, it is believed the young woman in question took possession of the firearm jump into the waters on North Shore Road Pembroke, made good her escape and called 911 and Bascome was arrested and charged. 


 
Dion Cholmondeley:

10 Years imprisonment for both offences which is to run concurrent

·         POSSESSION OF AMMUNITION

·         POSSESSION a FIREARM

TNN understand that earlier this year police seized a firearm from a vehicle Cholmondeley was driving after 911 calls to police about an incident in the Cedar Hill Warwick area. Two men where arrested and Cholmondeley admitted in a police interview to having the firearm and ammunition in his possession.
