Prosecution Threats Made Against TNN

A fabulous turn out for last nights Santa Claus Parade, thousands joining in on the upbeat performances and the children were in awe at the sight of Santa Claus himself. As happy as spirits seemed amongst the crowd, not all in attendance had a joyful demeanor when approached.

The organizers of the parade sit in a reserved area at the Flag Pole on Front Street. TNN was declined an interview in reference to the parade when trying to approach Ms. Pamela Ferreira, owner of the local Marketplace chain of grocery stores. Ms. Ferreira apparently took issue with an article published by TNN, on Friday November 24th, 2017. That article was based on with what is believed to have been a security breach of information from the chain of stores.

The article read “TNN has come upon a list that has been leaked and circulating on social media and appears to be from the offices of the MarketPlace. This list of shame, highlights 32 individuals that are suspects of stealing from Marketplace. This appears to be a list of 32names and pictures of individuals that if seen in any of their stores, should be asked to leave their premises.”

TNN would like to note that the article was only published after five attempts to contact the store regarding the matter were unsuccessful. This information was brought to Ms. Ferreira’s attention last night at the parade. After declining any comment regarding the parade, Ms. Ferreira demanded that I leave the VIP area immediately. I was then informed that if I was recording her without her knowledge or approval she would have me prosecuted.

For the record, TNN does not record anyone without their knowledge or consent, which is standard best practice for this news website. We take exception to the accusation which was not substantiated because it never happened.

TNN takes this opportunity to inform our subscribers that we publish news, factual unbiased information. There is no malicious intent to any of our published articles and everyone is given the opportunity to respond in any circumstance. TNN tries to obtain as much information as possible from all parties involved.

Well, for Chrssmas Sake!!! Inform her and interview her at the Parade? Seriously wrong time to go about interviewing on the issue. Wrong move! And so what if they have that list of people who go into their store and steal and don't want them in there carry on with it. Private business - can kick them out when staff recognise them as thieves.
