Investigation Into Confirmed Firearm Incident Outside Docksider Pub commences as Detective Chief Inspector Na’imah Astwood, Serious Crime Department conducted the press conference at the BPS media room.

The Bermuda Police Service can confirm that around 1:10am today (Wednesday, May 16th) a firearm incident occurred outside The Docksider Pub and Restaurant, Front Street, City of Hamilton.

“The management of Docksider can confirm that an incident took place at the bar shortly after midnight on May 16th. The incident itself was unrelated to any patrons that were in the establishment at the time. Unfortunately it seems the individuals being targeted were in close proximity to Docksider and ran into Docksider to seek refuge therefore our business was affected. Docksider is cooperating fully with the BPS in this matter.

Female Visitor Hurt in Rental Scooter Crash Airlifted Overseas. At last check this morning (May 16th) the 44 year old American woman hurt in a single vehicle rental scooter crash around 6:50pm Monday, May 14th on Somerset Road in Sandys parish, near the junction with Morgan Hill, had been airlifted overseas for further medical treatment.

Word coming to TNN today of what is believed to have been an accident involving a male customs officer that fell between a cruise ship and the wharf in Dockyard on Thursday May 10th, 2018 somewhere between the hour of 1am and 2am. It has been brought to the attention of TNN that the officer broke his arm in multiple places.

Vendors in Dockyard are gearing up for a busy season as Bermuda prepares to host 180 cruise ships bringing tens of thousands more visitors than last year.

Top Dog, Duch Pops, 9 Parishes, Positive Energy, Churchill’s Ltd and Bermuda Fudge Co all have their stalls up and running near the new Visitor Information Centre. Sunset Studio will join them from August.
